New bedrooms

3rd bedroom, replastered and painted. Floorboards painted white for now (not putting carpet down until new boiler / pipework done)

2nd  bedroom, all painted .

2nd bedoomr. We're not sure about the stripped doors, but we're leaving them for now.

Spring is here!

Ta-dah! One new bathroom!

Whew! 9 days is a long time, but its finally completed. Its looking good and we'll be able to use it properly from tomorrow.

 

 
 

 

The tiles are up and we can see how much brighter the room is going to be.

New bath fitted

The walls have all now been plastered and the bath partly installed. 3 downlighters with dimmer installed. At last we can start to see how much of better space it will be.

Bye bye to the old avocado suite....

New pipework being laid under floor

This wall was pulled down and put back up again, 5cms further back so we could get a full size 1700mm bath in.

Most of the plaster fell off against this wall, so its all been ripped back.





Today we had the old bathroom ripped out. So long to the 1970s avocado suite. Works are expected to take 7-10 days and as you can see most of the plaster fell off so we're having to have it completed replastered. More pics to follow.

Before and after

I thought it would be interesting to see the room just after we moved in. What the photo doesn't clearly show are the lovely orange / yellow wallpaper, green carpet, stained ceiling and crumbling plaster. Nice.
