2nd shelving unit complete

On Monday I took down the old bookcase that was hanging on the wall and badly painted behind the door. Came home yesterday evening and our carpenter has put up this great replacement. All in all 7 days work plus some painting to finish off today.

We've decided to get the old bookcase replaced behind the door as well in the same style. This is how it looks at the moment:

Alcove shelving started

We suffer from hardly any storage downstairs so have decided to get some alcove shelves fitted either side of the chimney breast in the dining room. Its coming along nicely and at last we can empty our boxes of books and DVDs!

Bedroom nearly finished

Wow nearly a year since an update here - we finally moved back into the main bedroom. The painted floor is temporary until we get carpet, but can't do that until we save up for replacing the entire plumbing and boiler system..
